Fate &
Ember

Your table is always ready. Create a hero, choose your next move, and step into a tabletop adventure with an AI Game Master. Roll real 3D dice on screen while Fate & Ember keeps your campaign records together.

The pitch

No group?
No problem.

You love tabletop RPGs, but getting five adults in one room on the same night is its own quest. Fate & Ember gives you the table whenever you sit down.

Type or say what your hero does. The Game Master describes the world, answers as every character you meet, and asks for a roll when it matters. The dice tumble across the screen and the story moves on from what they show.

Got a group that can't meet up? Online play is on the way: everyone joins from their own home, the same Game Master runs the story for the whole party, and nobody has to drive across town to roll. Coming soon

What's inside

Built for the
real thing

Built on the 5e System Reference Document (SRD 5.1), so it plays by rules millions of players already know.

An AI Game Master

It narrates, voices every character, runs fights and asks for rolls. It also plans ahead: dungeons get a goal, a final challenge and real treasure before you step inside.

Real 3D dice

Every roll is thrown on screen with physics. No fudging: the AI never rolls for you, and the result is the result.

A sheet that keeps itself

HP, gold, items, XP, spells, quests, time of day, food and water all update as the story happens. Matching items stack.

A world that remembers

Places, people and what you did there stay put. A map draws itself as you explore, with maps inside tunnels, manors and towns.

Your world, your rules

Classic fantasy, pirates in the Age of Sail, a fishing life on a cold river, a merchant guild. Add skills like Fishing or Alchemy and level them up.

Read aloud

A lifelike narrator voice reads the story to you. A recap slideshow turns a session into something to rewatch.

How it works

Three steps
to the table

  1. 01

    Create

Make a hero and start a campaign: classic fantasy or a world of your own.

  2. 02

    Choose

Tell the Game Master what you want to try. Investigate a ruin, take a commission, or spend the evening by the river.

  3. 03

    Roll

Throw the dice when a roll is called for, and watch the result become the next chapter.

Questions

FAQ

Is this an AI Game Master?

Yes. The AI narrates and plays every character. The app handles the dice and keeps your campaign records, so a roll is always a real roll. Alpha testing helps us improve both.

Can I play alone?

Yes. Solo adventure is what Fate & Ember is built for. Online play with friends is coming soon.

Do I need to know the rules?

No. The Game Master prompts you when a roll is needed and the app keeps track of the numbers. It's still an alpha, so expect some rough edges, and tell us when something is confusing.

Which devices does it run on?

Windows, as a desktop app, plus phones and tablets in the browser (you can add it to your home screen). Cloud saves let you carry on from one to the other.

How do I try it?

Download it for Windows, or open playfrontierforge.com on your phone or tablet.

What happens to my data?

The AI Game Master runs on our server, so what you type and the campaign details it needs are sent there to write the story. Privacy policy link TBD
